Montara Cajóns are 100% custom made by hand in my Montara workshop. Each one is unique, not only in it’s construction, but also in the original hand rendered art that decorates it. I like to use various materials including high quality plys, MDF and solid hardwoods in the drum construction. I add 42 strand metal snares to the cajóns mounted on hardwood frames to give a unique sound. Recently I have started to build double sided cajóns giving you the choice of snare or plain bass in one drum. All drums feature an individual label and is given a unique drum name.
